Personal Care
Our college-trained certified Community Health Worker can provide assistance for different levels and types of personal care depending on each client’s specific needs. These include:

Bathing, showering, and hair washing
Sometimes, a person needs help—standby or otherwise—just to safely get in and out of the bathtub. Some people may require help washing their hair, back, or legs and feet, or even total assistance with bathing.

Oral hygiene
Having a little help with brushing your teeth or dentures and maintaining good oral hygiene can make a big difference in how you feel and promote good health.

Skin care
Assistance in applying lotion will prevent dry cracking skin.

Shaving and grooming
Needing assistance maintaining your personal appearance? A nice warm shave can be refreshing.

Dressing
Just fastening buttons, putting on socks and shoes, or getting dressed can be a challenge for some people.

Toileting
Some people experience difficulty getting to and from or on and off the toilet. Having someone to stand by or to guide you safely in and out of the washroom is reassuring.

Assisting with mobility
Feeling a little unsteady on your feet? Afraid of falling? Getting in and out of bed or a chair, getting around the house, or even going for a walk can improve health and well-being.
